Mason Schreck: Stays on practice squad
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck cleared waivers Sunday and signed with the Bengals' practice squad, Tyler Dragon of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Schreck played in eight games for the Bengals over the past two seasons but was never targeted. The 2017 seventh-round pick couldn't beat out Drew Sample or Cethan Carter for a depth role behind C.J. Uzomah, so he'll look to fine-tune his craft on the practice roster.

Mason Schreck: Fails to make final cut
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck was waived by the Bengals on Saturday, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.

Schreck saw action in two games for the Bengals in 2019, failing to secure a fantasy-relevant stat while adding 19 special team's snaps. He'll likely look for a depth role or practice squad spot elsewhere around the league, as the Bengals will roll with C.J. Uzomah, Drew Sample and Cethan Carter at tight end to start 2020.

Bengals' Mason Schreck: Reserve role in 2019
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck played four snaps on offense across two regular-season contests with the Bengals in 2019.

Schreck spent the first 11 games of the season on Cincinnati's practice squad, and he was confined to a reserve role upon joining the 53-man roster. The Bengals originally drafted Schreck in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, so he'll likely continue to be viewed as a developmental project heading into 2020.

Bengals' Mason Schreck: Signed off practice squad
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck was promoted to the Bengals' active roster Saturday.

Until now, Schreck has spent the entire season on the Bengals' practice squad. He was originally drafted in the seventh round by the team in 2017. He is now set to help provide depth at tight end, while also presumably contributing on special teams.

Bengals' Mason Schreck: Lands on IR
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Schreck's placement on IR effectively ends his 2018 campaign. The second-year vet has endured several knee injuries through the early portion of his career, so it remains to be seen what kind of toll, if any, the latest will have on him moving forward. In a corresponding move, the Bengals promoted tight end Jordan Franks to replace Schreck.

Bengals' Mason Schreck: Suffers knee injury against Chiefs
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck injured his left knee and will not return to Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

The severity of Schreck's injury won't be known until he undergoes further testing, but it doesn't look good considering the second-year pro needed to be carted off the field. This isn't a favorable development for a Bengals tight end group that is already without the services of both Tyler Eifert (ankle) and Tyler Kroft (leg).

Bengals' Mason Schreck: Practicing at training camp
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck (knee) was practicing at Bengals' training camp Monday.

Schreck sustained a knee injury in the preseason last year and was subsequently placed on injured reserve, but he's apparently healthy to start 2018 training camp. The 24-year-old will need to make quite an impression in training camp to earn the No. 3 tight end role and a spot on the 53-man roster.

Bengals' Mason Schreck: Planted on IR
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck (knee) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN reports.

Schreck hurt his knee in the third preseason game, though the severity of his injury remains unspecified. He's likely stuck on IR all season unless he agrees to an injury settlement.

Bengals' Mason Schreck: Injures knee in preseason game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Schreck injured his knee during the Bengals' preseason contest Sunday, Jim Owczarski of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The severity of the injury is unclear at this point. Knee injuries can fall within a wide range of diagnoses, so we'll have to wait until more information becomes available to establish a timeline for his return. Being that he's buried on the team's depth chart at tight end, Schreck could be on the outside looking in if it takes him a long time to get back.
