Shittu spent all of the 2017 season on the Eagles' injured reserve with a knee injury, but he's played 31 and 12 defensive snaps, respectively, in the first two preseason games. The 24-year-old is facing long odds to crack the 53-man roster for a solid Philadelphia defensive front.
Shittu (knee) has reverted to the Eagles' injured reserve list.
Shittu is a second-year player who spent the entire 2016 season on the Eagles' practice squad. He was waived/injured in early May after hurting his knee in non-contact drills, but has since cleared waivers and reverted to IR. Unfortunately neither the extent of the damage done to his knee or a timetable for his return were disclosed.
