I would love this idea of having only 4 away games this season, but have my doubts that this will happen.
Agree. One of my questions about this schedule. But with the neutral site game with JMU, I guess they could look at it either way...
although before the Conference move I understood it was counting as a home game for WVU.
Nah, not always the case. MANY teams just have one bye and finish the season a week early (or have a "bye" on the last week). I'm not sure anymore if it's the case or not... but at one point, it was an individual Conference thing to not play the last week (Maybe those with Conference Championships??? -- not sure the reason).Isn't there also usually two breaks in a season as well?
Having a buy in the second week of the season doesn't look right.Don't like the timing of that either... would prefer it to be more mid-season to allow injuries to heal. But it happens time to time to some teams for scheduling reasons. Being the "new kid", I imagine we're not going to get a lot of preferential treatment early on.
Also, every game being on a saturday also doesn't seem accurate.LOVE those Thursday Night games! Welcome small fish to the big pond??? Maybe we can EARN a Thursday game for 2013...
finishing with Kansas the Saturday after Thanksgiving?Yeah... hope they don't expect this to be our new "rival"!

I know a couple years ago EVERY Big 10 team had one bye and finished early. I think it was pretty common for MOST Pac-10 and Big 12 teams too. I haven't paid a LOT of attention to that the past 2 years... but seemed to be less of a trend this past season. I know the Big 10 DID have some teams that played the last week THIS season.
